I have an Airport Express since 2006 and it has never given me any problems until I bought the iPhone 4 one year ago. Since then I have scientifically concluded that if my iPhone joins my network, the network collapses hours later, meaning that the network exists but it will not accept it's password to join in.
Usually my macbook asks for the network's password again, although it knows it, and filling the correct password won't work.
The way I fix this is by restarting the AE, then all devices can join the network with its stored password.
For the past year my iPhone has had's its wifi turned off, so that it wouldn't disrupt my network all the time. After weeks of perfect behavior, the day I forget to turn my phone's wifi off, the networks fails. I've had the same happen with 4Gen iPod Touch's.
Resetting the AE doesn't work. Has anyone heard of something similar? Or can theorize what could be happening? I think its very interesting and annoying.
