After upgrading to iPhone 5S, I have a deactivated iPhone 4 that I decided I'll now use for running. I've restored the iPhone and it's now running iOS 7.02. The only app I've downloaded on it is Nike+.

It's been forever since I've synced an iPhone over a USB cable. No matter what I do, I can't seem to manually drag music from iTunes onto the Phone. I've tried checking and unchecking the Manually Manage option, and I've tried just selecting the playlists I want to sync. Nothing's working.

I know I'm not going crazy, because I did get it to work just one time. I did another restore of the iPhone, and lo and behold, I could manually drag music in just like I always used to. That only lasted as long as I had the phone plugged in. The very next time I tried it, it was back to not working.

The computer in question is a Mac Pro running Lion and the latest version of iTunes.

Can anyone help?

UPDATE: Just restored again, and once again, I can manually drag music in. Obviously I can't restore every time I want to sync some new stuff, though. What's going on here?
