Apparently he did something in the computer that made my mom's old sim no longer working and transfered it to the iphone 4 electronically.

He didn't even have to put in a SIM card into the iphone 4.

How do I switch sims?

The sim card is pre installed in the iPhone. The ICCID is printed on the box. To switch sim cards you need to stick a paperclip into the hole on the right hand side of the phone. This is the sim tray.

I tried but it wouldn't come out. 0.0

Do I have to use a lot of strength? Because I did that

Are you using a standard paper clip and inserting it in the hole next to the SIM card tray? If so it takes a good bit of pressure but if you are pushing real hard and the tray is not popping out, there is something wrong
