Hey Gang,

Is it better to charge the phone over night and than run the battery down throughout the day, or is it better to charge the battery over night and then plug the phone back into a outlet when one becomes handy?

The reason I ask, where I work I predominantly sit at my desk. I was thinking it would save my battery if I had a charger at work and kept my phone plugged in for most of the day. It'd pretty much be unplugged during my commute and mostly on weekends.

I'm just wondering if there is any degredation effects that I need to be aware of. It sure is nice not worrying about the juice meter all day long while I'm sitting at my desk.

Thanks,
S1njin

It doesn't make any difference, as long as you cycle the battery (discharge below 20% and fully recharge) once a month or so.

It's best to just use the phone normally and not worry about the battery health. The iPhone is very good at being idiot-proof. Developing an OCD about the battery is unhealthy. ;)
