iPhone 4 battery or solar-cases?

Has anyone here used iPhone battery or solar-powered cases?

Are they any good?

Do they have adverse effects on the iPhone in anyway?

Which brand would you consider to be best?

I'm specifically interested in the iPhone 4.

I used one for very short time but it made me the iPhone too bulky and I could not use it with the bumper I had attached to the iPhone. But like regular power packs I don't like the impact on form factor and weight. I keep it for emergency situation when we would have a poweroutage due to earthquake etc.

It don't have a brand name attached; my wife got it from Amazon.

I've just been googling and the Mophie seems to be a decent case and very light.

Anybody got one?
