I got an iPhone 4 on launch day and have noticed something fishy with my standby and usage times.

For example, today I took it off the charger at about half 8, went to work, haven't used it much at all. It says it's been on standby for 8 hours 40 minutes, and in use for 7 hours 15.

I checked it throughout the day and it appeared to be steadily increasing.

I reset my settings which looked like it fixed it for a while. But it's back to steadily increasing.

Anyone have any similar issues?

Ps. I didn't restore from a backup, I have 2 exchange accounts that were set to push but are now every 30 minutes.

Have you done a hard reset/reboot of the phone? It sounds like you have something running in the background that you don't know about ... or the phone thinks it does. I've seen that a time or two myself over the years. After listening to the iPod or something and then turning it off, the phone seemed to think it was still running even though it wasn't. A hard reboot forces everything to stop running and clears out the memory. That *should* fix your problem.
