So i have an iPhone 4 and it got water damage, so i opened it up and replaced the battery, pretty simple. Or so i thought.

When i turn it on i get a glimpse of the apple logo before the screen goes black. It gives the beep when its charging but wont show any display. Every now and again ill get a blink of the screen but then its gone just as quickly as it came.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

try a hard reset

I've tried that still a black screen but if i hit the lock button really fast the screen will very dimly flash a few times. It's really weird because i can still unlock the phone and if i can navigate by memory i can make calls...

I think your best bet is an out of warranty replacement from Apple for $199. You could try replacing the screen assembly but that may not be the issue.

Ok I will try replacing the screen. Who knows maybe I'll be lucky at the apple store.
