The left side, middle area of the LCD on my phone burned while it was charging...I went to pick it up and the phone was HOT. The burn becomes more apparent when the phone is warmer (if I'm using it in the sun or charging it) and sort of dissipates to a less noticeable (more translucent) shade of yellow when it's running at normal temperatures.

Just curious if this has happened to anyone else's phones...I took it into the Apple store and they opened it up and said there was nothing burned or melted as far as the battery or any chips...just sort of an eye sore more than anything else I guess. That along with the fact that the home button works 1% of the time has me itching to just fork over the $150 for a replacement, but then the warranty is only 3 months...leaving me to think I could potentially be SOL if something happens to the refurbished model after the 3 month marker.

I am not interested in getting a new phone either until the 6 comes out, so that's not an option I'm willing to consider...just wondering if this is a somewhat common issue with an explanation as to what made it occur.
