I notice some guys posting images that appear to be more "widescreen" for want of a better term. Is that a setting I'm missing or have they just been edited?

Yeah I know that but I mean, when you look at a picture taken portrait, it seems longer. Does that make sense? They seem closer to 4:3 in landscape?

it's an optical illusion, try it out for yourself take any photo and rotate it. or use a photo from here

but I emplore you (and all iphone users) to always take photos landscape, because in (almost) all situations photos look silly in portrait
