IPhone 4 Contacts Help

I just got set up my Gmail account as an Exchange account. I checked the Contacts "Off" slider as all i want are the contacts that i have on my phone currently. However, when i go to my contacts now it goes to the "Groups" screen and has 2 options - All on my iPhone and Gmail Global Address List. Is there anyway to remove this screen so they are no "Groups?"
