iPhone 4 convert whilst syncing problem

Hi,
Just got my iPhone 4 and am having problems syncing music to it.
I have whittled it down to being a problem converting the music to 128kbps AAC whilst syncing (I need to do this as the majority of my music is lossless).
It comes up with these errors:

My 3G didn't come up with these, and I have tried anything I can think of (like changing USB port, changing cable, auto sync/manual sync etc)

Any ideas at all?
