What's the out of warranty (cracked screen) replacement policy for a 32 gig iPhone 4 is it $199 or $299?

Wife's broke tonight so headed into Apple store in the morning.

Both the 16GB and 32GB models have a $199 out-of-warranty replacement fee. Make sure you schedule an appointment at the Genius bar.

If you don't mind a non-Apple fix, you can probably find 3rd party companies/people in your area with the means and ability to order an official part and fix the screen for you for like $30-$50. Since you have no warranty anyway it's worth looking into.

Since it's an iPhone 4 the LCD and glass are fused into one. That means both would have to be replaced would increase the cost substantially. Most sites offer the repair service for around $150.

Thanks for the info. Apple was awesome an replaced the phone free of charge!!!

Happy Mothers Day!

^thats the new policy. They will do it for you for free the first time if you're cool about it.

Officially it's 200$

They did the same thing for me. The iP4 slid right out of my pocket when I was getting into my truck and the screen shattered. I brought it in and they looked at it and replaced it free of charge

No way you will replace the i4 screen for $30-50.
Try $150-180
