iPhone 4 deletes everything when connected to my comptuer

Hi,
I have an iPhone 4 and connected it to my computer to transfer some new music. When I did this my iPhone completely cleared itself of all my information, it was just like I had just got it out of the box. This has happened twice now but i dont want it to happen again. Has anyone got any ideas how i can fix it?

Sounds like your syncing options are out of whack. How did you get the music on initially? If they're all bought directly on the phone, then choose "transfer purchases" in one of the iTunes menus (file > transfer purchases I think).

A bit more info would help though

This happens to me too. I got my phone last week, sync it with the cable, then synced it wirelessly. The next time I plugged it into the cable it erased all app data.

Make sure you've autherized the computer in iTunes.
