iPhone 4 completely died last night (wont turn on at all) and I'm not sure when the warranty expires :(

I don't have the original box so if I take it into Apple for warranty service how the heck do they find out my imei, to see if i still have warranty, if they can't turn it on whatsoever???

Thanks for your help.

Thanks Alag28 :)

Was stressing sorry cause I think the warrant might expire any day now (or perhaps has already expired) :(

if u dont have a case history with the phone meaning if this is ur first service appoitment at the genius bar. MOST OF THE TIME they will do a courtesy swap if ur out of warranty..just be honest and emphasize how important the phone is to u (cant be without a phone, work, etc)

Look it up online see much time u have

I did...

... unfortunately it says it expired a couple weeks ago :(:(:(

Anyone else ever have this situation and actually got the genius to warranty replace the phone even though it was out of warranty? :(

I thought you just got your phone replaced

Wrong phone. Got the 4S replaced for battery life issues but I still have the 4 that I'm letting a friend use... Don't exactly want the 4 dying out of warranty (which it did) so now I'm at the mercy of the genius it seems? :(

Anyone have a good experience w/ Apple replacing your phone if it just expired out of warranty? Or am I stuck paying $199 for a replacement? :(

My girlfriend did. Hers was 2 weeks out of warranty.

Lots of people have had great luck. My friend ran over his out of warranty iPhone 4 and they handed him another at NO charge. He could not believe it!

If you are nice they migh surprise you!:)

I think it's $149 now for a replacement since the 4 came out. At least that's what a genius told me a couple weeks ago.

Thanks vincenz :)

This will make sure I don't pay extra if I end up having to pay for a replacement. Will report back on this.
