Every once in a while my iPhone 4 is disconnecting from the 3G network, displaying the "Searching..." icon in the upper left. It doesn't seem to have anything to do with a low-signal area or the deathgrip, even if I set the phone on a table it will not regain its connection to the network. I was at dinner tonight with two people who both own a 3GS, both of which were showing full bars on the 3G network when my phone lost connection. If I restart my phone it will usually connect back to the network.
I have made a genius bar appointment for this weekend but am worried that, since it is such an intermittent problem, they will diagnose the phone as having nothing wrong with it and send me home. Is there anyone else who has experienced a similar issue and/or has any advice on how to approach my genius bar appointment?
