iphone 4 dock connector

Hi, I just received a new battery for the iphone 4. Does anyone know if the battery is totally empty when it arrives? I just ask as the phone still doesn't charge so the dock connector is probably broken as the water damage indicator sticker shows a bit of pink. If the battery would be loaded a bit would the iphone turn on even if the dock connector is broken? Any feedback would be great.

Hi carstene..

Well I think it has some power,so that we can use it for atleast switching on the phone and use it for 10-15 minutes.

But in case your dock connector is damaged,it need to be repaired first.

Hi Andrew, thanks I thought that must be the case, so off I go to order a dock connector. If this won't work it can only be the logic board.
