iPhone 4 - Does 7.1 beta help at all?

My son's iPhone 4 worked perfectly fine before the "upgrade" to iOS 7.
We've tried any tip and solution anybody wrote anywhere, and it's still very slow and laggy compared to iOS 6, and it's quite frustrating.

Does anybody know how the iPhone 4 works with 7.1 (the most recent beta)? Is there any significant improvement in terms of speed?

Some information at https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1698101/ might be of some help, although there isn't really that much there so far.

Based on a few other posts in different threads it seems that 7.1 improves things in the overall sense for iPhone 4 (and really all iOS devices)...so likely there's some improvement to be had with iOS 7.1 on iPhone 4 that is already on iOS 7.
