hey guys, ive had my iphone 4 since it came out, more recently i just encountered this problem with facetime and its getting annoying. Everytime i try to start a facetime call with someone it always says facetime failed immediately, but if i want it to work i go ahead and goto setting and deactivite facetime then re-activate facetime and then it works till i reboot the phone... any ideas? i have done the following..

1) reset network connections
2) upgraded to 5.0.1
3) did a full reset on the phone
4) full format of the phone and did a full restore

still having the same problems...I don't have anymore applecare because its over 1 year, anyone have a special fix for this or is it ongoing?

I hate to ask the blindingly obvious, but are you connected to an active wifi network? That's generally what mine does when I accidentally try to facetime somebody over 3G.

I would try to set it up as a new phone. If that doesn't work; I would try to tell Apple and hopefully they'll be nice and swap you out a new phone.
