iPhone 4 failing at inopportune time

My iPhone 4 home button is becoming unreliable. Sometime it works okay, sometimes it works after I press it about 4 or 5 times, sometimes it only works if I press and hold for a second or so. Today was the first day when I couldn't get out of an app. Had to shut down and restart the whole thing.

I may not be able to hold off till mid-September for an iPhone 6. I'm assuming it's a physical problem with the button. Anybody heard of a miraculous fix?

Try assistive touch. It cheap and fast fix to this problem.

I think it may be fixed

Thanks for the replies. I looked at the above Youtube video, tried the fix on it yesterday, and haven't had any problems since. So maybe I can hold out until the iPhone 6. Thanks again.
