iPhone 4 Game lag problem

I just got a iphone 4 and whenever I played a game (Driver or Need for speed) it lag for like a millisecond for every 10 seconds or so. BUT if I take out my Sim card then everything suddenly seems fine, games run as smooth as silk.
Anyone have this problem??
I have tried restoring my phone, but it is still doing that.
