Has anyone successfully used iPhone 4 GPS (Tomtom, Navigon, etc.) in their car with athermic/UV coated windscreen (they significantly dampen/reduce GPS signals coming through the windscreen)? Is the reception OK?

With my ancient TomTom GO300 I have to use an external antenna, otherwise no GPS signal. Don't want to risk spending £££ only to find out it won't work in my car.

Cheers,
