When do you think developers will start updating their applications to support our new retina screen with high-res images?

Will all apps be updated with it?

Many apps will look better off the bat - only those with custom artwork will need to be updated. A lot of games, I imagine. UI stuff should be good to go, I would think.

Original apps will look better, but developers will have to update their apps to take advantage of the extra resolution. I can't wait to see what games will look like with the extra resolution, processor, and extra ram available for better textures. I believe the onboard graphics chip has been updated a little too.

When do you think we'll see support for the iPhone 3G drop off?

I know it's harsh, but developers ensuring their games run reasonably well on older devices will hold back the performance and possibilities on the newer devices.
