Dear Friends,

A few days ago, my brother from Hong Kong sent me an iphone 4.
But I cannot use it in my country, Indonesia.

I think the problem is the iphone still locked with AT&T.

What should I do to unlock?
Do I need to contact AT&T and ask them about their service to unlock this unit?

Thank you so much.
Waiting for your help.

If it's from Hong Kong then it won't be locked at all (none of the operators there lock it). If it's locked to AT&T then it'll be from the US.

Are you getting a specific error message?

Are you stuck on the "plug into iTunes" screen? I think all you need is an AT&T card to unlock and get past that screen.

The box, at back written AT&T.
My brother ask me, if I can use the gevey card.

But I think, it will be better if I can use it without gevey card.

Is it possible?

Thank you.
Waiting for your help.

I highly doubt that the phone is locked if it was purchased in HK? Try it with just your sim card first. If it doesn't work, it might need the gevey to unlock.

Sim Card

Thank you for your help.

I tried with my sim card, and it did not work.
When I try with Gevey slot card, it works well.
Can I use my sim card without my Gevey slot card?

Thank you.
