I'm looking at an iPhone 4 to replace my budget Samsung Droid, about how much longer will the 4 receive updates? Is iOS 6 the end of the road and how well does it run on it?

Anything I should be careful of before I find a used one on Craigslist?

try to get a 4S for $100 as an upgrade. the 4 will be obsolete by august next year. It's a solid phone but you can tell apple is dropping support for it fast, Whenever a phone reaches the "free" stage from them that means it's done.

I'm ditching AT&T as my contract has expired and I'm fed up with paying too much for too little and switching to T-Mobile. Used 32GB 4Ses in my area run around $380-400 while 32GB 4's can be had for $250, I'd much rather take that savings and get all the Apps I want from the get go.

3GS received 6 - 4 should atleast get 7

That sounds quite alright to me, thanks.

apps are getting optimized for A5+ processors, in tech years the 4 is quite old, so unless your apps don't get updated a lot you should shoot for a 4S
