did some searching online but couldn't find anything.

does anyone know if/how i can bring my iPhone with me on a trip to Cuba and get service for it while on the island?

i am assuming i would need it unlocked and pick up coverage from a carrier while there. from what i've read, you need a gsm phone for any carrier there. i'm covered there, since i've got an AT&T iPhone 4.

anyone have any information that could help me out?

thanks!

Yes you can, you'll just need to get it unlocked. Either AT&T will unlock the iPhone for free, or you can purchase an IMEI unlock off eBay for a couple bucks.

awesome.

i'm guessing this would work with an original iphone as well? might consider picking up an older one to take instead of a 4
