My iPhone is about a month old and I have taken great care of it (no water damage). Lately I've noticed that my iPod on the phone keeps pausing and switching songs on it's own. It's very frustrating and usually happens at the very beginning of a song. I can't even get 15s into any track. If my phone is plugged into an iHome kind of accessory this does not happen.

Should I reset my phone?

Try a different set of headphones. I had this problem with a 2nd gen iPod touch a couple of years back and once I started using a different set of headphones the problem went away.

Not sure why - possibly wire damage to the headphones. Worth a try if you have a spare set hanging around, tho.

Cheers,

RTP.

Are you using headphones with the controls? Sometimes the controls short out and misbehave. Like the previous poster said, try another pair.

I'm using a different headset right now and it's doing great! Thanks for the tip :)
