iPhone 4 issue with iMessage

I updated to iOS 5, when I message someone with an iPhone the initial message will still get send as a SMS message until they reply then it changes to iMessage.

Has anybody had this problem?

Did you intend to say iOS 6?

Yes I meant iOS 6

Mine works ok.

I've had that problem as well. And, annoyingly, it seems to happen mostly with international imessages.

There's a thread about it somewhere in the ios 6 forum. I've had the same issue. In a thread with one person, some are green and some are blue.
