Sorry to start a thread about a topic I'm sure you guys have gone over 1000 times, BUT I just had my phone jailbroke yesterday. I think the main reason I did it was to have custom alert sounds and a custom look. Wondering the easiest and best way to apply these themes and sounds to my phone. I'm a MAC guy, but not the most technically savvy person around. Would love it if some of you experts on here can point me in the right direction. Thanks a lot.

Ok, first, welcome to the jailbreaking community. The first thing you want to do for custom themes and sounds is get on Cydia.

Search on Cydia for "Winterboard". Install that. Then, look around on Cydia for themes and sounds, install the ones you like.

Close out Cydia, open Winterboard. They should be in there, and just select to install them.

Sorry if I am not well at explaining, English is my 3rd language.

Thanks. I was hoping I could come here for some answers. A bunch of different opinions.
