iPhone 4 laggy with jailbreak...

Is everyone experiencing this or is it just me?

I find my phone isn't nearly as smooth and fluid as my wife's non-jail broken phone. Launching apps have a little stutter to them, same with closing apps and just the overall feel.

I don't have a lot of things installed. What I have is:

App Switcher Brightness
Caller ID Faker
LockInfo
MyWi
SBSettings
3G Unrestrictor

That's it. Any ideas?

Ive been experiencing lag myself, but it was outa no were and I jb'd a while back on 4.1. So I figure theres an app to blame. The only apps I have in common are 3g unrestrictor, SBsettings and MyWi. Uninstalled MyWi, as I was seeing a lot of drain.. even with nothing running. Battery drain is fixed, but still lagging, I'm gonna upgrade anyways so ill see from there. So your sure you have no other apps installed? Maybe one could be to blame for your issue. Oh, and I have FakeClockUp installed and still experience it, so this lag is caused some were else than the UI.

Yea, I went to Manage -> Packages and that's all that's there aside from the stuff like Activator, Cydia and whatever else is listed as stuff that gets installed automatically.

I will install fakeclockup now and see how that works.

one of your apps could be the culprit (from the ones you have right now to ones you tried and then deleted).
Don't install another app to fix the problem from another app
you can always restore as NEW and try again.

This, my sister has an iPhone 4 with everything set up like mine, but I set it up more recently and no lag. So sometimes the best fix is a restore, sad to say.

Same here. Laggy. Even when i slide to unlock sometimes it won't respond right away. What else could be causing this? If I reinstall sb settings over itself, it seems to speed back to normal bit after a few hours slow again.

Have any of you tried that yet??? Please report back

uninstall one or two apps at a time till you find the culprit that is the best way. Or another way is to remove the jailbreak. seriusly it might be the device or firmware rather then the jailbreak. Also cracked versions of apps have been known to cause problems the official versions don't.

I have tons of stuff on my jailbroken iPhone 4 running 4.3.3. Its the 16GB and its almost full and I have no music or videos on it. I get a small amount of lag from time to time, nothing terrible. It usually only happens when the memory gets pretty full. A quick reboot or just close out of all running apps solves the problem.

But I do agree, a jailbroken iPhone doesn't run as smooth as its nonjailbroken counterpart. But the lag is well worth the gain you get from jailbreaking.

FCU is a joke. All it does it speed up the UI kit, it does nothing for actually loading pages faster. Had this on an old 3G and even though it brought the screens up faster, I was still stuck with white screens for several seconds because it doesn't make the phone load any quicker at all. Just the UI animations.
