I noticed when I shook my iPhone 4 the lock button on the top has a rattle noise. The button doesn't actually rattle, but whatever is under it does. When I hold down the lock button and then shake it there is no rattle. Does anybody else have this? I did drop the phone a couple of times, but I have the Speck PixelSkin HD on it. Didn't know if this was pre or post drop.

If you shake your phone side to side and it rattles or makes a light clicking noise, it's a loose sleep/wake button (I got my iPhone replaced for this). If it rattles when laying down on a hard surface or tapping near the camera, it's the auto focus/vibrate motor which is normal IMO.

Replacement for a loose button? I hope you are joking. It's a phone, not a rols royce.

Mine rattles, so does every iphone 4....I remember I was concerned back in June. Every display rattled too.

For the people that say it doesnt cant hear it probably.

I literally just now noticed this, and I've had my iPhone 4 since launch. Guess it was a non-issue for me haha.

I'll just leave it alone. I got mine in Singapore and it is factory unlocked. I doubt they can replace my factory unlocked phone with another one.

I think you have arrived at the right choice. Just relax and try to enjoy your phone. This rattle can not be a bother unless you are constantly shaking your phone!
