iPhone 4 Mail App Disappeared

Hi there, I've had my iPhone 4 jailbroken since it became available and had no issues. Now whether it was my mistake or it randomly happened I'm not sure, but the mail app has disappeared. I SSH'd into the phone and the MobileMail.app is gone.

I know I could do a restore and re-jailbreak, copy everything back over, etc. However, before I do that, is there anywhere I can download the app or would someone be willing to post theirs so I can download it and copy it back over to my phone?

Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

I've had this problem before... I forgot how it was caused.

OP, can you tell me what you installed before it disappeared?

Did you try a Spotlighgt search to see if it's still on the phone, just hidden.

I had just followed the instructions for installing Netflix outlined in another thread. I'm not really sure if that was the cause, though. I only noticed the icon was missing a few minutes ago.

Yes, I did a spotlight search and it wasn't there. Even the settings for the mail app aren't visible in Settings.

List EVERYTHING you have downloaded from cydia when you jb'd it.

I could tell you which one is making your mail.app disappear.

However, I have had those installed for about 4 days. Nothing happened until I installed the Netflix App. However, now that the mail app is physically gone from the device, is there anywhere I can get the app from and SSH it back over without restoring?

It probably has something to do with the tweaks in sbsettings. Mail is probably not gone from your device. SSH into your phone and check the applications folder to see if its still there.

oh. Heh, in that case it's gone. I don't know of any repos that host the app. You most likely will have to get it from someone else or restore.

I once asked if I can SSH into my phone and delete the MobileSMS.app because I have biteSMS doing all I want (even changed the name and picture of it). they said no because everytime I sync back to iTunes, it will come back. I don't know if they know what they are talking about, but give it a try, try syncing see what happens.

I lost icons and found out that the ones I addedd in the SBsetting Dock disaoppeared fron the normal screen.
Removed them from SB dock and the reappeared...May be worth a look?

Nope. I was just going to check my mail and noticed it wasn't there so I can't determine exactly when or how it happened. However, now that it's gone I simply need a way to get it back. It seems as I will simply have to restore and re-jailbreak.

How strange, I have a similar issue.

I jailbroke the evening it went live and did the permissions fix.

Today I went to change my default "send from" e-mail address and I can no longer find the Mail Settings in the Settings App. I still have my Mail.app and access it, send from it and receive email. Just cant find it in the settings menu.
