Im sure this has been asked, and i doubt this can officially be answered. But since the iPhone 4 uses a micro sim would i be able to just pop it in my ipad and do a quick settings change and yay free internet on my ipad. I did this with my current 3GS sim i cut it and put it in my ipad did a settings change. so would att be able to like "lock" the sim or somehow monitor if i put it in my ipad. thanks for taking the time and thanks in advanced.

I was wondering this myself.

Maybe you can use your existing sim on the new iPhone 4 when it comes out.
Can't you call AT&T and tell them your gonna use your old sim instead of the new one?

Also, what settings did you change on the iPad?
I want to try this.

Thanks

The iPad micro-sim is data only
The iPhone micro-sim is cellular phone plus data

Doesn't sound like it will work unless you choose not to make phone calls.

Yes I know this.
I think you may have misunderstood my statement.
I was referring to the op's situation of using his existing iPhone sim in the new iPhone 4 and continue to use his current sim in his iPad. He is obviously using his current sim on both the iPhone and the iPad.

Well, if he cuts the current sim down to micro-sim size, should work.
