At first, I didn't realize the the holes on the bottom of the iPhone 4 were for screws. I thought they were just for extra noise-cancellation or something. Then I saw the pictures on Apple's website and realized that they are for screws. I then discovered that without them, I could remove the back panel.

To me, it doesn't seem like they should have fallen out, considering hey were supposed to be screwed in. I also haven't unscrewed them, and I don't ever remember them being there. So now I'm wondering if I ever had them to begin with.

My question is would going to the Apple Store be the only way to get new ones? That's a bit of a problem seing as the nearest one is an hour away, and that's a little far to drive for two little screws. Any suggestions on other ways of obtaining these screws?

You could try calling and see if they would ship you the screws as a DIY repair. Personally, I would be a little nervous keeping a phone that is missing parts. On the upside, you could see how easy the back glass is to replace. :)

I think I'll call tomorrow (if they work on Sundays) and see if they can send me some replacements.

Every wireless device is susceptible to a loss of....screws.

Wow. I don't see how they could have fallen out; it's more likely your phone came without them. They sure are rushing these things through the factory to get them into our hands, what with the glue not having time to cure and such.

What I would do is go into radio shack or maybe even the home depot and put screws in and go to the apple store and get a replacement, I bet they will try to say that you too them off and maybe even cancel your warranty...

I can't find any screws that are small enough. The holes are TINY!
