So my iPhone arrived a few hours ago and after going through the setup and syncing my iPhone won't pick up any service. We have a business account, so does the activation need to come from somewhere else? Or is there something that I'm missing?

Restart your phone. That activated it for me.
 
I've restarted three times now and each time I get the message "waiting for activation. this may take some time." would you recommend just restarting over and over?
