I had my iPhone 4 plugged into my computer last night to charge. Woke up this morning and iTunes said the phone needed to be restored to factory setting before it could charge. This seemed weird to me, and in my still groggy state, I tried to reset the phone. It was still connected to iTunes.

Then my iPhone disappeared from iTunes.

Since then, I have tried to do the hold/home button reset, I've tried holding down the home button when connecting it to the USB connector, I've reset my computer and repeated everything. I've left the phone on a wall charger for an hour to make sure it wasn't the battery. In spite of all of this, I've got nothing but a black screen the whole time.

I don't know what else to do, except go to Apple. The phone is not jailbroken and I've never had any issues with it prior. Does anyone have any suggestions before I resort to Apple? It's 2 hours away to the closest store......

Also, my iTunes and iPhone were both updated to the most recent versions and synched together before any of these issues.
