iPhone 4 not working with 3G

Hi all, needing a bit of help with my iPhone4! When 3G is on there is full T-Mobile signal but I can't send/receive texts or make phonecalls or anything. Have tried the usual stuff, resetting network settings, holding sleep/home buttons, restored it as a new iPhone and still nothing. It works on 3G for 30 seconds if that then nothing again. Any help would be great thanks!!

tmobile ? is your phone unlocked ? if so then I don't believe it'll connect to tmobile's 3G network, only the edge network.

Yeah I've had it for about 6+ months on a T-Mobile 2yr contract. It's only been the past week or two it's not been connecting to the 3G.

This phone I have just now is actually only about 3-4 week's old as I had dropped my first phone and took it to the apple store and they gave me this brand new one!
