hello, as a newbie with iphone 4 16GB, may i ask if the jailbreak can be restored back i.e. in case i sell the phone again and owner wants it in ios 7x original ?

What exactly the jailbreak does i have not understand. I am interested mainly in adding some apps that dont work on ios 7x.

Does it affect my ie carrier settings, sms, calls etc ?
