I didn't believe my sister when she said the app opened on its own, but she showed me another instance of it - had messages open, and then godfinger started running, taking over half the screen then launching. A double-click and it showed it on the multitasking tray.

What could be causing this? At first, I thought it was spurious touches, but this was nowhere near the home screen.
