iPhone 4 pics sent via email do not rotate at all, what do I do?

This is really annoying, I take a nice picture then send it and the recipient says they practically gotta break their neck to see it. How do I resolve this?

I've noticed this, too, and it's just as annoying as the inability to forward more than 2-3 inline photos at a time from the iPhone. That one is a problem that Apple is aware of and has been absolutely unable to help with.

Are you taking them with the phone vertical?

I noticed the same thing so I started taking all of my pictures with the phone horizontal with the volume buttons on the bottom.

I've seen this before on older phones that do not recognize the horizontal positioning of the pictures taken. I believe that data is in the image header (meta data?), but the viewing program does not recognize or read that data correctly or not at all. Nothing you can do.

Most new programs & phones have no problems from what I've seen.
