iPhone 4 preserving 01.59.00

I've been reading around, and whenever someone mentions preserving the iPhone 4 baseband, the only thing anyone replies with is sn0wbreeze and pwnage.

What about tinyumbrella?

Has anyone been able to preserve their baseband with TU? I don't want the tethered jailbreak from sn0wbreeze, and would rather just use the unjailbroken iOS 5 for now, but obviously keep my baseband.

1st you realize without a jailbreak you have no unlock right?

I don't need the unlock now... I just need to maintain the capability.

Looks like TU won't work yet.. from notcom:

If you are wanting to hit ios 5 and keep your bb don't update/restore yet... you'll be stuck in recovery until its fixed!
