Turns out the widely reported price-drop on the iPhone 4 at Target was only a sale.
Price returns to normal tomorrow.
If you were going to act on it now is the time.

Thats generally how a sale works, it has a start and an end date.

But it wasn't advertised as a sale in all of the news reports.
All the news stories reported it as a "price-drop" implying a permanent reduction.

Target advertised it as a sale. Its not really Target's fault if the news outlets decided to label it as a "Price Cut" or "Price Drop", Target's online ad and print ad both state "Sale"

Love the bright red arrows on the pictures above saving107 :)

I agree media outlets are idiotic click whores that have about as much knowledge as we do so they make up stories such as "iPhone 4 permanent price drop... just in time for the iPhone 5" in order to get clicks on their stories/ads. Basically just keep informed with any factual stuff through the news (such as actual Apple event invitations going out) and everything else take with a grain of sand ;)

The rumors started long before Target's ads were actually available and they were spread through many different channels.
I never said it was Target's fault but since this is a rumor website I thought I'd try to inform those on here who may also have been misled.
