Just thought I'd join for a problem I have and i thought this would be the best port of call.
I've recently jailbroke my phone on red snow im 90% I used the unteatherd 5.0 release from the above.
My phone has lost it's charge over night , i've come to it in the morning and its completly dead and there is no response from the phone at all.
I've then loaded redsnow,gone into 'boot in teatherd mode' and put the phone in dfu mode and it's found , all is well until it gets to 'ulploading first stage' , then there is the noise as if a usb device is disconected and nothing happens. The phone is still off and not responding to any thing.
I have then loaded itunes and its not detected until in dfu mode ,then it list's the phone 'detected in recovery mode' , then proceeded to update the phone and while 'preparing restore' is displayed the same usb disconect noise, and then after a short time on that screen the error code 1601 http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3694#error1601
Iv'e tried all i can think of differn't computers , leads , differn't house wifi conection.
Can or could anybody shed any light on this pickle im in ?
