So my 2 year old snagged my iPhone 4 and gave her a toss in the toilet. I got it out right away and everything works fine EXCEPT that the speaker doesn't work. I can't hear anything in the receiver if I have music on or someone calls and I can't hear the phone ring or tone for messages Unless I use speakerphone or ear buds. I read on here the idea of resetting and plugging/unplugging the ear buds 4x but that hasn't worked yet. Oh, and I get a message that says "this accessory is not optimized for this iPhone."

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I had this same issue the next day the home button didn't work then the iPhone needed to be restore and was stuck in recovery mode... Apple told me it was done and to mail it to them and pay $199 for a new iPhone 4... that's what happened with me. Try putting it in a bag or bowl of rice, that seems to be the suggestion around here and works for some..
