Have to hand it to you it looks totally awesome, and I also find it funny that one of the "petrie dishes" you used to hold the parts is a magic mouse case. But it looks stunning, I'm guessing you ordered the parts and did the instilation yourself. The black with the red is nice it goes together much better than the other colors I've seen. So kudos to you

Sweet...if you could have made the home button red the phone would have been killer; but still, very nice IMO.

Honestly, I'd love it if the iPhone (as well as the iPod classic) went the route of the Nano and had some color options added to it. I'd buy a red iPhone in a heartbeat if it were the same shade of red and quality as my 5th gen nano.

I do have a red home button. The issue is it is ever so slightly see through, so you can see the flex cable behind it.

They sell the red and blue color kits on-line. The China part supplier that has the red, blue and pink colors would be: http://www.sw-box.com/wholesale-Iphone-4-Replacement-Parts.html Keep in mind they ship from China so will take some time. I've also heard that iFixDirect and/or Zeetron, which incidentally sold the white iphone kits, have started to promote the red and blue colored kits.

looks amazing but im way too chicken to do the front. im pretty good at dissassembling and reassembling stuff but to take the entire phone apart for the front makes me nervous.

No can do. You gotta dismantle the whole phone just to swap out the home button. I'm not doing that just for a pic sorry.


And to all the askers, I bought the kit online, I didn't actually make it.

I just put it together and decided to ditch the red home button.
