My mom upgraded her iphone 3 to a 4 and is having issues with the wifi in the 4. Apple did all of their trouble shooting over the phone and told her they would send her a refurb as a replacement. The phone is only about three weeks old and they said all they will do for her is put a hold on her credit card and send the refurb. Is this normal practice for apple? I find it a bit ridiculous that she has a new phone and is forced to settle for a refurb because the new one is defective. The closest store is in the next state over so that is not an option. Is there anything that can be done to get a new replacement or will she be stuck with a refurb regardless?
