Not actually "ruined", but man - everytime I look at my MacBook Pro's screen and I see pixels I feel like I'm reading something from a dot matrix printer.

haha

Not to mention it has ruined themes that once used to look beautiful and crisp, as well as thousands of apps that don't support retina resolution, etc.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/532.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.5 Mobile/8B117 Safari/6531.22.7)

The retina display hasn't ruined anything for me, I love my iPhone 4 even more because of it.

I really don't notice a difference when looking at my macbook, probably because I use it further away from my face? The difference from my old Touch is crazy though!

i guess im the only one that doesnt notice anything different with the retina display
Incredibly poor eyesight has that disadvantage.

Yeah, it hasn't ruined my MBP's screen, but it did ruin my iPad's. Went back to my 3GS because of it (after adjustment I've gotten back used to the 3GS, but wow, nothing touches the 4's).

Every time my mum needs my help with my old iPhone 3G, I'm shocked at the fact I thought the iPhone 3G screen used to be awesome.

I sold my iPad because of this. Sad, but I'm developing a predictive ability to see new tech, old fashoned. It's sad how that feeling you used to have for your 3GS just isn't there anymore.

it really is jarring going back and forth from my iP4 and my 20in 1680x1050 pc monitor.

I can't wait till they start making affordable desktop displays with even close to the pixel density of the Retina Display. I had no idea that the resolution of the new 27 in was only 109ppi. Honestly even like doubling ppi would be amazing, 3840x2160 would be just about perfect (around 245ppi) but honestly a bit overkill since the average viewing distance on a desktop monitor is greater than a phone.
