No, i would suggest putting a ticket into apple on their website(the suggestions section or something). I know it doesnt seem like much but if more and more people do ti they should eventually change something

you can try going to this site: http://www.myxer.com/make/ and upload your own MP3 so you can create your custom ringtone. Then just put them all in a folder and open it on iTunes. Then sync with your iPhone. It's easy, quick and free. I have loads of ringtones thanks to that site. Love it!

I wish there was a way I can change the alert sounds though. Not a fan of the "New Mail" sound. Bleh.

It's amazing that you still can't customize the alerts... it's the #1 request from our customers. But, we couldn't always customize ringtones, officially, either, so maybe that will change...
