Iphone 4 scratched metal band problem

I had my iphone 4 in a official apple bumper for about six months but noticed it had left a mark on the top corner and bottom of the metal band around the phone so have since removed it,

Is there a simple method to rub these marks out? As its that time of year again when i need to sell it ready for the iphone 5 release

You can polish it to a mirror finish by hand or emulate various brushed surfaces with foam polishing blocks but the matte surface from apple requires bead blasting to restore. Doing a brushed look might be best if it really bothers you.
