Iphone 4 screen grounding issues?

Hi! Im a kinda noobie in iphone world..so I dont know if its normal or not, but I only can use the touch when the phone is in my hand or when I am conected to it. When the phone is resting in my bed for example and I try to use it..the touch simply does not work.

Is that normal? Or should I contact apple?

That's not normal.

Test it with another person, though, to make sure it's the phone and not just you!

But, yeah, that's something you should have them look at.
