So my iPhone 4 fell from my pocket while I was reaching down for something, and my iPhone's screen didn't survive the fall. The crystal is cracked, and I have another iPhone 4 that has a perfectly good screen. I want to try swapping the screens with the screen replacement guide from ifixit.com . Is this possible? Also, when is the expected announce date for the next iPhone ?

Why not just use the spare iPhone instead of merging the two together.
The release of the next iPhone is still up in the air with lots of theories swamping the threads.

It's because I stopped using the one with the good screen because its speaker and microphone don't work since they got wet.
